Healthcare Project Architect (Licensed Architect)

A well‑established and growing multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm is seeking a Healthcare Project Architect to join its expanding team. This individual will play a key leadership role in the planning, design, and delivery of complex healthcare projects, serving as a trusted advisor to clients while guiding projects from initial concept through construction completion.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Architect with significant healthcare design experience and a proven ability to lead project teams, coordinate consultants, manage client relationships, and oversee all phases of project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning, design, and execution of healthcare projects including hospitals, outpatient clinics, ambulatory care centers, medical office buildings, and healthcare support facilities
- Manage client relationships including proposals, presentations, contract administration, and ongoing communication
- Oversee project delivery from schematic design through construction administration
- Direct production of design drawings, construction documents, and project specifications
- Coordinate architectural and engineering disciplines to deliver fully integrated project solutions
- Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, and quality control measures
- Conduct construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, shop drawing reviews, bidding support, and site observations
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, healthcare regulations, and industry standards
- Identify and resolve constructability issues throughout the design process
- Mentor and develop junior architects and design staff
- Present design concepts and technical solutions to clients and stakeholders
- Maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction and project success
- Bachelor of Architecture
- Ten (10+) years of experience within the Architecture/Engineering industry
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a licensed Architect
- Strong background leading healthcare facility projects
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Thorough understanding of building codes, healthcare design requirements, construction methods, and project delivery processes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- NCARB Certification
- LEED Accreditation, Green Globes, or similar sustainability credential
- Experience with Enscape, Bluebeam, Lumion, or other visualization tools
- Experience mentoring architectural staff and leading multidisciplinary teams
