About the Role

Help make complex Dart Frog products, workflows, and stories feel clear, coherent, and trustworthy. This role spans product and experience design: learn from operators and customers, map workflows, simplify information architecture, prototype interfaces, strengthen the design system, and help translate technical capabilities into useful product experiences across Nexus, administrative tools, EUD operations, and selected public-facing materials. The work is not limited to polishing screens.

We need someone willing to understand the system, challenge a confusing workflow, test ideas with users, and collaborate closely with engineering through implementation. Near-term work is expected to begin as scoped project-based or part-time contract work, with the possibility of a broader role as product demand and funding mature.

• A portfolio showing thoughtful product, UX, interaction, or visual systems work
• Experience turning complex technical or operational workflows into understandable interfaces
• Strong information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and visual hierarchy skills
• Ability to work directly with users and engineers from discovery through implementation
• Comfort designing for responsive web and constrained or high-consequence environments
• Clear communication, good judgment, and willingness to work hands-on in the product

Experience with design systems, accessibility, administrative or operations software, maps and geospatial interfaces, device management, hardware-adjacent workflows, public safety or government users, product writing, technical illustration, motion, brand systems, or front-end implementation. We do not expect one person to cover every specialty.
