DescriptionWe are currently seeking a motivated Interior Designer to work full-time in our Raleigh, NC office with focus on our Science and Tech & Mission Critical Teams. The Interior Designer will assist in space planning and concept development within interior architecture, finish selection, millwork, coordination, production, and development of commercial design projects from concept through construction. This position requires exceptional design skills, a background in architecture with a focus on Interiors or Interior Design, and a portfolio of innovative design concepts.
This position requires an intermediate level of experience using Revit, InDesign, & Escape software. In addition, this position requires the ability to communicate effectively with the design team and adapt to changes and elect most effective methods of accomplishing tasks. This is a unique opportunity to be a rising leader within our Interiors practice.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Assists on the ideation, conceptual, and schematic design development of various projects to support client goals, budgets and timelines.
- Participates in the design, production, and construction documentation phases of various commercial projects throughout the lifecycle of a project using Revit software.
- Participate in selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
- Generate design with 3D models, Revit, Sketchup or other software, create digital 3D view to communicate design concepts
- Under supervision, develop preliminary space plans at a high level
- At direction of senior designers, may provide suggested details for interior design projects
- Research and collect details for furniture and selection with local dealers.
- Assists with construction administration, RFIs, project submittals, and project site visits.
- Ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.
- Versatile, self-motivated, and articulate.
- Is aware and supportive to the work of other designers
- Strong organizational skills.
- Desire for continued professional growth, NCIDQ Certified or on track with certification.
- Additional graphic and 3D software capabilities are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design/interior architecture from a CIDA accredited College or University.
- Preferred minimum 0-3 years related experience with interiors.
- Moderate proficiency in Revit, InDesign, and Microsoft Office Applications.
- Familiarity with building systems, codes and ADA requirements
