Smith Sinnett Architecture is seeking a Project Architect to join our Raleigh studio. For 50 years, we have partnered with communities across North Carolina to design K-12, higher education, civic, state, municipal, public safety, and community-centered facilities. Responsibilities
  • Lead the architectural development of projects through all phases of design and construction
  • Translate design concepts into coordinated, technically sound project documents
  • Prepare and coordinate drawings, specifications, details, and other construction documents
  • Coordinate architectural work with consultants and internal project team members
  • Support code analysis, quality control, permitting, bidding, and construction administration
  • Prepare and present design concepts, diagrams, renderings, and project materials for client and stakeholder review
  • Assist with project schedules, budgets, work plans, and technical coordination
  • Collaborate with firm leaders and project managers to deliver high-quality design and exceptional client service
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to emerging professionals
Qualifications
  • Professional degree in Architecture
  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • Architectural licensure preferred or active pursuit required
  • Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, building systems, codes, and construction documentation
  • Experience with sustainable building rating systems
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and various rendering software
  • Experience with public-sector projects is a plus
