This position assists employers in Wake County with the development, administration, and preparation for registration of both new and expanding pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs through Wake Technical Community College (WTCC). In addition, this position will monitor and document the progress of registered Apprentices in the Apprenticeship
NC System Office software program.
Responsibilities and Duties (
* Essential Functions)

* Assists Apprenticeship Participating Business Partners and Apprentices with completing all the administrative documentation associated with the registered pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs at WTCC
* Administers the pre-apprentice and apprentice registration information at WTCC and the Apprenticeship
NC System Office
* Partners with Business Services and Student Services to coordinate scholarships, funding for tools, equipment and books associated with the registered pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs and assists interested students with the application process
* Provides data and reports to the Senior Director and North Carolina Community College Systems Office Apprenticeship
NC program as required on the number of employers, number of apprentices and occupations of apprentices as well as progress in their Registered Apprenticeship Program with regard to the Related Technical Instruction and Competency Checklist
* Supports the Apprenticeship team by coordinating team meetings as needed to discuss Apprentice Hiring Events and other community outreach efforts
* Acts as a liaison with various academic departments by connecting interested students
Apprenticeship opportunities and providing program information documentation/sessions Coordinates with the North Community College Systems Office to ensure proper registration
Maintains timely and accurate budgetary information
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to knowledgeably relate to business/industry representatives from trainers to top management in large companies
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
Must be able to prioritize and schedule daily activities in a timely manner
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel
Minimum Requirements:
Associate degree
Two years of administrative support experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Driver's license and approval required by the College's liability insurance carrier
Preferences:
Bachelor's degree in health science or other related field
Knowledge of health science occupations and/or apprenticeship experience
