The Health Sciences and Nursing Enrollment Services Coordinator is responsible for receiving, scoring, and ranking all applications for limited enrollment programs within Wake Tech’s Health Sciences and Nursing degree programs. The coordinator will work collaboratively to ensure that qualified applicants meet application standards and deadlines.
This position will create awareness and understanding of limited enrollment admissions requirements among students and will advise applicants through the application process. The coordinator will provide continuous enrollment support for students who are admitted into their program of choice and will provide advising and re-direction support to students who are not admitted. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily.

- Review limited-enrollment program applications for accuracy and completeness, verify program eligibility has been met, and determine acceptance of applicants for clinical programs according to established guidelines and limited-enrollment admissions processes.
- Serve as primary contact for prospective and current applicants regarding application processes including, but not limited to: application requirements, deadlines, next steps, and missing information. Create opportunities such as one-on-one advising sessions, group information sessions, and orientations to inform students about limited-enrollment admissions processes.
- Advise students on program pathways and course selection, assist students in developing an academic plan, provide guidance for program admissions deadlines, and other enrollment procedures.
- Evaluate and interpret high school and college transcripts, test scores, and other supporting documentation required for program admission.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of admissions data. Assist with tracking applicant data and generating reports on application volume, admissions outcomes, and student progress throughout the admissions process. Maintain ongoing communication with all applicants including admitted, differed, alternate, and denied applicants.
Track admissions statuses and collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure accepted students are aware of orientation requirements.
Manage the enrollment process of accepted students after successful orientation, including administrative account updates to student records.
Review processes and make improvement recommendations.
Advise pre-healthcare and nursing students on their pathway to admission into their intended academic programs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Excellent organization, project management, communication, and presentation skills.

- Proficient computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office;
Colleague/Datatel and Self Service. - Ability to connect with a diverse population of students.
- Ability to multitask between multiple projects.
- Ability to quickly and accurately calculate data from multiple data sources.
- Must feel comfortable working with dynamic teams, as well as individually.
- Bachelor’s degree
- One year related experience in a post-secondary institution in advising, counseling, student development, or related field.
- Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work
