Job Duties
Are you passionate about helping students successfully transition to college? Do you thrive in collaborative environments where you can mentor student leaders, design meaningful learning experiences, and bring large‑scale programs to life? If so, we invite you to join our team as the Coordinator of New Student Programs.
In this dynamic role, you will play a key part in shaping the first year experience for new undergraduate students at NC State. You'll provide leadership in the recruitment, training, and supervision of student leaders while supporting the planning and implementation of New Student and Family Orientation programs. Your work will directly impact student success, engagement, and sense of belonging from day one.
WhatYou’ll Do Student Staff Recruitment, Training & Supervision
- Lead the recruitment, selection, and evaluation of New Student Programs student staff
- Co‑supervise Orientation student staff, including graduate students
- Coordinate all student employee training periods, including a spring training course
- Develop learning outcomes and design a comprehensive week‑long summer training experience
