Job Duties

Are you passionate about helping students successfully transition to college? Do you thrive in collaborative environments where you can mentor student leaders, design meaningful learning experiences, and bring large‑scale programs to life? If so, we invite you to join our team as the Coordinator of New Student Programs
.

What You’ll Do:

Student Staff Recruitment, Training & Supervision
  • Lead the recruitment, selection, and evaluation of New Student Programs student staff
  • Co‑supervise Orientation student staff, including graduate students
  • Coordinate all student employee training periods, including a spring training course
  • Develop learning outcomes and design a comprehensive week‑long summer training experience
Curriculum Design & Instruction
  • Design and implement an engaging spring training curriculum
  • Serve as the lead instructor for USC 223: NSP Student Leader Development
  • Plan and facilitate a student leader retreat in collaboration with the Assistant Director
Orientation Program Development & Implementation
  • Develop and implement key components of New Student and Family Orientation programs for first‑year and transfer students and their families
  • Collaborate closely with the Assistant Director to execute high‑quality Orientation experiences
Collaboration & Campus Partnerships
  • Partner with campus colleagues to enhance student leader training and Orientation programs
