Job Duties
The Department of Molecular Biomedical Sciences (MBS) at the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University invites applications for a position in Nutrition at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Clinical or Tenure/Tenure Track Professor of Nutrition
. The Nutrition Service is a crucial component of our research, teaching, and clinical missions. We are open to recruiting multiple faculty.
The successful candidate will provide nutritional consults and clinical service as needed, contribute to teaching, train house officers and graduate students, and engage in research related to animal nutrition and its clinical implications. The position should synergize with the growth of the emergency and critical care, small animal internal medicine, and/or gastroenterology groups. The incumbent will oversee nutrition clinical case management, provide high-quality clinical and pre-clinical teaching, demonstrate research productivity through external grant funding and peer-reviewed publications, and participate in college and departmental committees.
Faculty in clinical tracks spend most of their time in clinical service with some time in research; tenure/tenure-track faculty are expected to develop an independent research program with a focus in clinical, transnational, and/or basic nutrition research. Collaborative opportunities exist within NC State University and with external partners including UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke University, Wake Forest University, and industry. Rank will be awarded based on qualifications.

: A doctoral degree, an equivalent qualification, or comparable professional experience. A DVM or equivalent degree, with residency training in Veterinary Nutrition (ACVIM or recognized European equivalent).
