Job Description
The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department seeks to broaden and expand our program offerings and hire enthusiastic, hard-working instructors who offer unique programming opportunities to our community. We are currently hiring Group Fitness instructors at Laurel Hills Community Center located at 3808 Edwards Mill Road, Raleigh, 27612.

Duties and Responsibilities
Instructs various fitness classes in accordance with their certification(s) and assists with marketing of programs.

Typical Qualifications
Certification in Group Fitness modality
2 years teaching experience fitness classes preferred
Great communication skills
Motivated individual
Applicant must attend all required trainings
Must pass a comprehensive background check and controlled substance test.

Positions in this class typically require Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Seeing, Pushing and Pulling, Lifting, Fingering, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, Hearing and Repetitive Motions.

Physical Requirements:

Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
