Position Overview
The Department of Accounting at Poole College of Management is seeking a Non‑Tenure‑Track Faculty Lecturer (part‑time) for the upcoming academic year. The position is one‑semester or one‑year with possible renewal and will remain on file for one year to accommodate future openings.
Responsibilities- Teach 1 to 3 courses in the BSA (Bachelor of Science in Accounting), MAC (Masters of Accounting), and/or MBA (Masters of Business Administration) programs.
- Course subjects include accounting information systems, auditing, business/data analytics, business law, financial accounting, intermediate accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and not‑for‑profit/government accounting.
- Develop course materials, assessments, and deliver instruction effectively.
- Contribute to the department, college, and university community.
- Minimum:
Master’s degree in a related field and at least five years of professional or teaching experience of significant duration and responsibility, current at the hire date. - Alternate:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with professional or teaching experience that outweighs the lack of a master’s degree.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to the success of students and the university’s programs.
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA) and experience teaching at the college, university, or community college level.
- Ability to teach in multiple subject areas.
- Experience in developing and teaching online courses.
- Valid NC Driver’s License.

Position will remain on file for one year to allow future openings.
