Part-time Music Lecturer

About the Department

Provides an environment for students to develop skills and knowledge in arts entrepreneurship, dance, music, and music technology, preparing them for a lifetime of arts engagement and a variety of careers.

Responsibilities
  • Teach semester-long instruction in music theory, aural skills, musicology, and ethnomusicology in a classroom setting.
  • Prepare, teach, grade, and mentor students in courses that meet 2-3 times per week for approximately 3 hours each session.
  • Work part-time on a rolling basis, with teaching load based on need and availability.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the department.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree, equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working with college-level music students.
