Carolina Preparatory Academy (Carolina Prep) seeks a MYP Spanish Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year beginning August 6, 2026. Under the general direction of the Director of Middle & Upper School, the ideal candidate will provide engaging, challenging, and student-centered instruction in Spanish language acquisition to students in grades 6–10 within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework. The MYP Spanish Teacher will foster students' proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish while promoting intercultural understanding, global awareness, and effective communication skills.

The successful candidate will inspire students to become confident language learners, critical thinkers, and internationally minded individuals who demonstrate curiosity, empathy, and respect for diverse perspectives. This position requires a collaborative educator who can support students in achieving success within the IB framework while contributing positively to Carolina Prep's vibrant academic community.

Established in 1974, The Montessori School of Raleigh (MSR) & Carolina Preparatory Academy (Carolina Prep) is a vibrant and exceptional independent Montessori and International Baccalaureate (IB) World School institution in the Triangle area serving 400+ students aged 15 months through 18 years. • Bachelor's degree in Spanish, World Languages, Education, or a related field required;
  Master's degree preferred
• Minimum three years of successful teaching experience in Spanish language instruction at the middle school and/or secondary level
• Experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) preferred; IB training or certification in Language Acquisition strongly desired
• Demonstrated proficiency in spoken and written Spanish; native or near-native fluency preferred
