Job Description:

The Department of Statistical Sciences at Wake Forest University welcomes applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Statistics. We seek highly qualified candidates who have a commitment to excellence in teaching. The position begins July 1, 2026. The teaching load for this position is three courses per semester, and the position is renewable for up to three years subject to performance and future enrollment needs of the department.

The Department of Statistical Sciences has fourteen permanent faculty members, whose research interests include the areas of: actuarial science, applied probability, Bayesian methods, bioinformatics, biostatistics, causal inference, clinical trials, environmental statistics, foundations of statistics, functional data analysis, measurement error, missing data, networks, epidemiology, spatio-temporal models, statistics education, and time series. Statistics programs within the department include both a B.A. and a B.S. in Statistics, a B.S. in Applied Statistics, a B.S. in Decision Analytics, an M.S. in Statistics, and a Graduate Certificate in Data Science.
