Role Description The Part-Time Lecturer in Finance will provide high-quality instruction in undergraduate and/or graduate finance courses on-site at North Carolina A&T in North Carolina, United States. This part-time role includes preparing syllabi, course materials, and assessments aligned with departmental standards and learning outcomes. The lecturer will deliver engaging lectures, facilitate discussions, and support student learning through office hours and timely feedback on coursework.

Additional responsibilities may include collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development, incorporating current industry practices and research into course content, and adhering to university policies and accreditation requirements.
Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of finance concepts such as corporate finance, investments, financial markets, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and teach college-level courses, including developing syllabi, assessments, and learning activities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills to support an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Commitment to student success, mentoring, and providing constructive academic support to a diverse student population.
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a closely related field; a doctoral degree or significant professional experience in finance is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff and to follow university policies, procedures, and academic standards.
  • Experience integrating technology and data analysis tools into teaching (e.g., spreadsheets, financial databases, learning management systems) is beneficial.
  • Prior college-level teaching experience and/or relevant industry experience in finance or related fields is highly desirable.
