Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting student success by developing and implementing engaging programs that foster personal growth, leadership, and community engagement. In collaboration with campus partners, the coordinator focuses on promoting belonging, inclusion, respect, and student support, helping students build life-ready skills and preparing them for success both in and outside the classroom.

Essential duties and responsibilities include developing, implementing, and assessing student-focused programs that align with the University's mission and values, organizing and leading community dialogues on civility, respect, and inclusion, creating a robust civic engagement program, assisting in the planning and implementation of the annual MLK Day of Service, Alternative Fall Break, and Alternative Spring Break programs, coordinating tracking and reporting of community service hours, assisting registered student organizations, recruiting, training, supervising, and mentoring student employees, interns, and volunteers, fostering and maintaining effective partnerships, developing and supporting mentorship opportunities, serving as a representative on various University committees, project teams, task forces, etc.,

working effectively with students, employees, vendors, visitors, and guests, and assisting with the implementation of assessment measures for program effectiveness and student satisfaction.

Minimum qualifications include a four-year degree in a related field and two years of experience in higher education administration or student affairs. Alternatively, a graduate degree in Higher Education Administration, Counselor Education, Psychology, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related area with coursework/experience that has provided knowledge related to the role or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, social justice, and inclusion.

Must also possess strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be available for evening and weekend work.
