Lecturer – Biomedical Program Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures covering the course objectives as stated on the syllabus, following the NCSU academic calendar.
  • Assess student performance through exams, projects, laboratory assignments, and homework as outlined in the syllabus.
  • If the course includes a laboratory component, oversee the lab to ensure:
    • Successful completion of student objectives
    • Appropriate measures for student safety
    • Meaningful content of lab exercises
    • Coordination of lab with lecture
  • Grade exams, papers, and projects in a timely manner and provide support to students during scheduled office hours.
  • Supervise and coordinate assignments for a teaching assistant when provided, ensuring workload is appropriate.
Other Responsibilities

Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • MS in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
  • Expertise in the subject area of the course to be taught.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
