One of the leading private schools in Raleigh, N.C., Wake Christian Academy was established in 1966 and operates as a Biblically-based, Christ-centered Christian day school. It is a private, unaffiliated, board-governed, nonprofit institution which seeks to maintain high academic and spiritual standards. WCA teachers are certified by ACSI, and many faculty members maintain licensure by the State of North Carolina.

You will be expected to execute the lesson plan assigned by the regular teacher and to carry out the prepared lesson plan. You must be able to give clear instructions and assist students in understanding the subject matter while maintaining discipline and control in the classroom. Wake Christian Academy seeks professionally qualified applicants who have a love for children and who, by the pattern of their lives, are Christian role models (Luke 6:40).

A substitute teacher's primary role is to maintain educational continuity by supervising students and following the lesson plans left by the absent teacher to ensure the learning process continues smoothly while adhering to the school's faith-based mission.
