Student Success Librarian

NC State University is hiring a Student Success Librarian. The librarian collaborates with library staff and campus partners to develop and deliver outreach, programs, and instruction that connect undergraduate students with library resources and support their academic success. The role also includes leading student engagement at university events, teaching library instruction sessions, managing public service operations, and participating in professional development and service activities.

• Lead engagement with university student recruitment and orientation programs, including New Student Orientation and Wolfpack Welcome Week.
• Coordinate the Personal Librarian Program and connect students with library services and experiential learning.
• Teach library instruction sessions for undergraduate courses such as ENG 101 and COM 110.
• Serve as Ask Us Service Manager, supervising student employees and providing virtual reference services.
• Participate on library-wide committees, task forces, and contribute to professional development.
• Requires an ALA-accredited MLS, MIS, or equivalent advanced degree.
• Preferred experience includes academic library services, teaching or outreach, project management, and fostering community belonging.
• Anticipated hiring range starts at $69,000 minimum.
• Position is full-time, non-tenure-track faculty with a 12-month recurring appointment.
• Based in the Libraries department with opportunities for hybrid work but majority onsite and part of the Learning Spaces & Services team.
