Early Years Educator / Nursery Practitioner

Company:

Salary:
Above minimum wage - dependent on qualification level

At Woodlands Nursery School, we provide an inclusive, nurturing environment where children feel safe, secure and truly valued. With calm, welcoming spaces and access to fantastic outdoor environments, we place relationships, play and exploration at the heart of everything we do.

We support children at every stage of their early years journey - from babies taking their first steps, to toddlers discovering independence, to preschool children preparing for school.

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners to join our team across our Baby Room (0–2 years), Toddler Room (2–3 years), and Preschool Room (3–5 years). This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive, reflective team who are passionate about high-quality care and education.

Depending on your room, you will:

Provide warm, responsive care, supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and development

Build secure attachments, particularly in our baby room, supporting routines and individual care needs

Support communication and language development through play, interaction and modelling

Encourage curiosity, exploration and learning through a balance of child-led and adult-supported experiences

Create engaging, stimulating environments both indoors and outdoors

Support children with routines, transitions and developing independence (e.g. feeding, toileting, dressing)

Observe, assess and track children’s development in line with the EYFS

Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and carers

Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and high-quality practice

Contribute to inclusive practice and support children’s individual needs

Maintain accurate and meaningful records
