About the Role

The Assistant Director leads the center alongside the Center Director, supporting teaching staff, families, and operational goals. They serve as a bridge between parents, staff, state licensing, and the community.

• Assist the Center Director in leading teaching staff, supporting families, and achieving enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives.
• Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, and community contacts.
• Perform diverse center duties as needed, including teaching, cooking, and driving.

• At least two years of early childhood education experience.
• Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices.
• Excellent administrative, organizational, verbal, listening, and communication skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Meet state‑specific guidelines for the role.
• Physically able to use a computer, lift a minimum of 40 lbs, work indoors or outdoors, and maintain safe contact with children.
• Fluent in English; able to read, write, and speak English.
