Temporary Lab Technician
Job Duties
Daily duties include:
- Assist research scientists with ongoing field projects on local and State water bodies
- Daily travel and field work in all weather conditions.
- Support general laboratory-based activities
- Maintain field equipment, calibrate sensors, and keep detailed logs
- Carry out other laboratory and field duties as directed by supervisor
10-15 hours per week between 9 am‑6 pm Monday‑Friday, with flexibility as needed depending on field conditions.
Minimum Experience & Education- Combination of training and experience required to perform the duties

Required Skills- Proficiency in data collection
- Experience with equipment calibration using water quality sondes, light meters, and current meters
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis
- Valid driver’s license
- No commercial driver’s license required

Anticipated Hiring Range: $15/hr
