Our client is a premier AEC firm recognized for design excellence in highly technical sectors. We are looking for an experienced professional to lead complex projects across the Raleigh region, specifically within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and research industries. This position serves as the primary link between the design team and the client, ensuring that sophisticated laboratory and science facilities are delivered on time and within financial targets.
You will guide the entire project lifecycle from initial planning and fee estimation through construction completion. The role involves managing engineering partners, overseeing internal design staff, and maintaining high standards for technical detailing and quality assurance. This is an opportunity for a leader who understands the specific regulatory codes and lab planning requirements necessary for high performance research environments.
Requirements- At least eight years of professional experience in an architecture or design firm environment.
- Minimum of three years in a dedicated project management capacity focusing specifically on science, technology, or healthcare projects.
- In depth knowledge of laboratory planning, building codes for hazardous materials, and technical specifications for research facilities.
- Strong proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Project is required.
- Experience with cGMP standards or sustainable design certifications is a significant advantage.
- A professional degree in architecture is required. While a state license is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement for this role.
- Base salary range of $100,000 to $130,000 based on experience.
- Position is based in Raleigh with occasional travel for project site visits.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
