The Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Analyst processes, interprets, and maps underground utility data collected during field investigations. This position converts field and survey information into accurate utility base mapping and engineering deliverables used by roadway designers. The SUE Analyst performs quality control, conflict analysis, and documentation to ensure underground infrastructure is properly represented in accordance with ASCE 38 utility quality levels.

- Associate degree or technical training in surveying, civil engineering technology, GIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with CAD drafting (Micro Station, AutoCAD, or Open Roads)
- Ability to read civil construction and utility plans
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Experience with DOT transportation projects
- Knowledge of ASCE 38 utility quality levels
- Familiarity with GPS survey data collection (Trimble/Topcon)
- Experience interpreting GPR or locator data
- GIS or mapping experience
- Understanding of right-of-way and utility easements
