Duties, Responsibilities & Other

The Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager is the highest level in KCI’s Project Management career path, responsible for overseeing highly complex projects or multi‑project programs. This role provides strategic oversight and direction, often managing multiple project teams and guiding Project Managers to achieve cohesive, large‑scale outcomes. The Senior Project Manager is instrumental in ensuring seamless coordination across numerous stakeholders, balancing competing demands, and driving projects to successful completion.

With an expert grasp of project dynamics, this role requires strong leadership, deep organisational acumen, and the ability to navigate high‑stakes projects from inception through delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • 10+ years of experience in Water/Wastewater
  • Professional Engineering Licensure required.
  • Highly self‑motivated and dynamic individual.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience leading a team of engineers/designers.
  • Project Management experience required, with experience in managing and growing a design team preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge base in water/wastewater design.
  • Experience with contract management, billing, and workload planning to track/meet budgets.
  • Experience and passion for growth into new business sectors.
  • Successful candidate should have local client contacts and both the passion and ability to bring in new business. Marketing and Business development are required elements of this position along with developing professional relationships.
Project Management Leadership and Execution
  • Manage all aspects of the project(s), including technical staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure timely and successful project completion.
  • Develop and communicate the Project Management Plan for the project, outlining project objectives, scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Effectively manage the project scope, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project requirements.
  • Maintain project schedules, proactively identifying and addressing potential delays or conflicts to minimize impact on project timelines.
