Position OverviewWetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company, is seeking an Environmental Compliance Technician to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina
. Projects include providing environmental compliance services associated with land development activities, residential developments, commercial properties, utility, and transportation development.
Primary duties include:
- Environmental compliance inspections and reporting
- Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) development and auditing
- Coordinating with federal and state resource agencies regarding wetlands, erosion and sediment control and stormwater compliance
- Best Management Practices (BMP) construction monitoring
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Environmental Studies or related field (experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines under limited supervision
- Outstanding communication skills
- Experience working with a diverse client base in both the public and private sectors
- Willingness to regularly travel regionally
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience performing environmental compliance in relation to National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) inspections and reporting
- Virginia DEQ Stormwater Management (SWM) and Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) Inspector training and certifications.
