How

You’ll Make an Impact
  • Develop and maintain electrical design specifications and models aligned with industry standards.
  • Perform design reviews, verifications, and targeted updates to improve quality and performance.
  • Manage design tasks to meet milestones, timelines, and project commitments.
  • Assess technical risks and drive mitigation strategies and design innovation.
  • Partner with customers to integrate requirements and feedback into design solutions.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to support efficient, manufacturable, and cost‑aware designs.
  • Prepare and maintain clear design documentation to support execution and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement based on testing, data, and best practices.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in transformer electrical design.
  • Working knowledge of power industry standards such as IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, UL, CSA, and NEC.
  • Understanding of transformer design parameters and design‑to‑cost principles.
  • Ability to work independently, delivering high‑quality results with minimal supervision.
  • Work authorization permitting employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States.
