How You’ll Make an ImpactDesign and implement control systems for FACTS and grid integration projects
Develop and test control algorithms for power converters
Simulate system behavior using MATLAB and real‑time tools
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet project goals
Lead design reviews and ensure technical alignment
Support commissioning activities at customer sites
Analyze system performance and optimize control strategies
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders throughout project lifecycle
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Your BackgroundM.Sc. or Ph.D. in Power Systems, Power Electronics, or Control Theory
Minimum 4 years of experience in control systems engineering
Strong understanding of FACTS applications and control theory
Experience with MATLAB, PI/PID algorithms, and real‑time simulation
Knowledge of DSP, VHDL, and signal processing is a plus
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
