PLANT ENGINEER
Reports To: Plant Manager
Hours: 1st Shift
PurposeOversee the Production Plant’s Electrical and Mechanical systems throughout all phases of the systems’ life cycles, including the design phase, installation, and any subsequent actions to maintain or improve their safety, quality, reliability, or efficiency. This position will also work and partner with other teams and functions for projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities- Assess and determine repair and maintenance requirements for assets.
- Development and Training of processes and practices.
- Act as a plant resource and liaison to the Continuous Improvement and Engineering Departments.
- Coordinates and Manages activities, including costs, timelines, and performance agreements, relevant to capital and other identified projects.
- Develop project-specific capital and expense budgets. Responsible for Performance against those budgets.
- Responsible for managing capital projects and teams in line with corporate strategy.
- Resources and works as an internal liaison between plant staff and vendors during project planning and implementation.
- Monitor assets and metrics to detect signs of degradation or malfunction and ensure proper reliability and performance of assets.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
- Working knowledge of basic production machinery.
- Technical ability to correctly interpret technical materials and use them for engineering tasks.
- Able to problem solve.
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities is required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Pay close attention to details.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
