Here's what you'd do:
- Develops, proposes, and implements EHS processes and methods.
- Plans and accomplishes roll-out of EHS programs or projects and monitors respective milestones in the related organization.
- Analyses and monitors adherence to EHS standards in assigned organizations and prepares regular EHS reporting.
- Analyses and reports on changes in relevant EHS laws and regulations, and recommends changes for internal standards.
- Contributes to internal and external EHS audits, in support of the accountable EHS officer.
- Prepares regular external EHS reporting for official authorities or for internal stakeholders.
- Maintains operational contact with external authorities.
- Trains employees and management.
- Keeps abreast with all respective regulations and standards in regional or local law.
- Needs professional technological, economical, or scientific know-how, methods, tools, and principles, and applies to differing and variable situations.
- Needs to solve assigned, non-routine tasks, to contribute to projects or assignments, or to support development of guidelines, methods, tools, or business processes.
- These positions are expected to contribute to and deliver business processes or detailed technology solutions in a self-managed and target-oriented manner and thus contribute to team results.
- Positions focusing on analyzing, developing, testing, or implementing processes, technologies, and systems in their specific field of expertise, from first principles.
- Targets are short to medium term (best to be characterized as milestones), and achievements are monitored.
- They may provide functional advice to and integrate the services of operational staff or semi-professional colleagues.
- Develops basic business understanding.
- Contributes to team effort, awareness of expected value adds.
- Improve processes, business methods, or technical components.
- The EHSMiP supports the business throughout the PM life cycle to ensure compliance with applicable internal and external EHS-related rules & regulations, preventing EHS-related hazards and risks.
- This includes supporting the PM or Site Manager in planning, implementing, monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement.
- The EHSMiP establishes the EHS plan, manages its implementation, and has the authority and responsibility to intervene/escalate in case of non-conformance.
- Identifies EHS-related statutory requirements, rules & regulations, and EHS aspects.
- Performs risk assessments and defines mitigation measures.
- Provides input for tender/bid phase concerning costs (EHS budget) and EHS risks.
- Supports PM to define EHS-related requirements and responsibilities to be integrated in the customer contract.
- Develops emergency management concept.
- Develops EHS plan.
- Provides EHS-related requirements to the project procurement manager, which are to be considered in the contractor selection.
- Supports PM to ensure that required EHS-related permits, authorizations, and certificates are available and authorities have been notified as necessary.
- Implements a training concept that fulfills all EHS-related training requirements.
- Ensures that the requirements of the EHS plan are known by all relevant stakeholders.
- Reviews safe work method statements/risk assessments of contractors.
- Liaises in alignment with PM with customer/contractor EHS representatives with project execution and onsite EHS issues.
- Conducts regular site inspections to identify risks and defines corrective measures.
- Provides regular EHS reports to the project and site manager and BU/Lead Country to ensure full operational transparency.
