Job Title711 – VDC – Tekla Detailer
Summary / ObjectiveWe are seeking an experienced Tekla Detailer to join our team and play a key role in producing high‑quality structural steel fabrication drawings. Working under senior detailers, this position requires a strong understanding of fabrication and construction processes and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and fabricators.

- Create detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings for assigned projects using Tekla Structures
- Interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design intent
- Produce shop drawings, erection drawings, material take‑offs, generate BOMs/NC files, follow company drawing standards and QA checklists
- Coordinate with senior detailers, engineers, project managers, and shop personnel to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Review and check drawings for quality, completeness, and compliance with project standards
- Manage revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist in resolving design and fabrication issues
- 2+ years of experience as a Tekla Detailer (structural steel)
- Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures
- Strong knowledge of AISC or relevant industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Experience with clash detection and coordination
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- 5+ years of experience as a Tekla Detailer (structural steel)
- Experience working with fabrication shops or on‑site construction teams
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and integration
- Works in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment
- Position may require visits to construction sites
- Flexible work arrangements (if applicable)
- Role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
- May require infrequent travel
