Structural/BridgeDesigner
Join our growing Civil team as a Structural Designer. In this role you will work on various transportation projects with state and local transportation agencies. As a Designer you will perform engineering models, analysis and/or designs, and supporting calculations / documentation. You will also coordinate the drafting of project elements for various clients.
Recent Graduates are encouraged to apply!
This position will be in our office in Raleigh, NC.
The Impact You Will Have- Performing basic analysis of project elements
- Performing load development and designing calculations of project elements and checking work
- Preparing organized structural calculations
- Designing and drafting structural elements and details
- Developing task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
- Performing tasks on schedule and within budget as assigned
- Working independently under the guidance of a Project Manager
- BS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or related discipline
- EI or ability to obtain
- 0 to 2+ years of structural design experience
- Excellent communication and client relation skills.
- Progressive experience with developing plans and specifications utilizing Micro Station
- Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules.
- Ability to perform complex analysis and design
- Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience working with NCDOT is a benefit.
- Experience with Micro Station is a benefit
