Master of Special Inspection; MSI

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Master of Special Inspection (MSI) in our Raleigh, NC office.

Primary duties include performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.). Some travel is required and the position will be predominately field located.

• Perform inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
• Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met
• Conduct field testing and inspections
• Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
• Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
• Input results and observations into daily reports

• 5+ years construction materials testing and inspection experience required
• ICC certifications required:
  Structural Welding, Structural Steel and Bolting, Structural Masonry, Reinforced Concrete
