Position OverviewA growing construction and infrastructure organization is seeking a highly collaborative BIM/VDC Lead to support large-scale, technically complex projects. This role is responsible for leading digital coordination efforts and transforming design intent into coordinated, field-ready construction solutions that support successful project execution.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in BIM/VDC coordination, constructability review, clash detection, and multi-trade collaboration within commercial, industrial, or mission-critical environments. This individual will work closely with project management, field leadership, engineers, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure coordinated models align with real-world installation sequencing and construction requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead BIM/VDC coordination activities across multiple trades and building systems to ensure constructable, execution-ready models.
- Identify and resolve clashes, interface conflicts, and constructability issues before impacting field production or project schedules.
- Coordinate electrical power systems, structured cabling, telecommunications infrastructure, and integrated security systems across complex project environments.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors to align digital models with field installation methods and sequencing strategies.
- Facilitate coordination meetings and design-assist sessions focused on system integration, installation feasibility, and execution readiness.
- Support development and release of coordinated drawings, installation packages, layout deliverables, and sequencing plans for field operations.
- Maintain model accuracy through RFIs, submittals, revisions, field redlines, as-builts, and scope changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure digital workflows support construction schedules, turnover milestones, operational readiness, and project delivery objectives.
- Drive accountability and issue resolution during coordination meetings and ongoing project reviews.
- Support seamless handoffs between preconstruction, engineering, and field operations teams.
Projects may include:
- Electrical power distribution, grounding, pathways, and lighting systems
- Structured cabling, fiber infrastructure, DAS, telecommunications, and network systems
- Access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems
- Data centers, mission-critical facilities, and large-scale infrastructure environments
- 5–8+ years of experience in BIM/VDC coordination, construction technology, or digital construction workflows
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, constructability, and field installation methods
- Experience coordinating multi-trade systems within commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction environments
- Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, AutoCAD, and related BIM/VDC platforms
- Ability to convert design intent into coordinated, field-executable deliverables
- Experience supporting design-build and/or design-assist delivery models preferred
- Working knowledge of RFIs, submittals, coordination workflows, and field revisions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across field, engineering, and subcontractor teams
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Experience supporting data center or high-availability infrastructure projects preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered
- BIM/VDC certifications or related technical credentials are a plus

This role operates in both office and active construction site environments. Responsibilities may include standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The position also requires close visual attention for reviewing construction documentation, plans, specifications, and digital models.
