In this role, you'll coordinate and execute engineering projects ranging from Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) to Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) projects.

- Provide cost‑effective quality solutions and deliver within budget and contract.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.
- Perform engineering in areas such as structural design, building design, foundation design, and material specifications as it applies to high‑voltage substation and FACTS applications.
- Resolve design issues and ensure compliance with national and local codes.
- Perform technical reviews of design packages and support construction and field engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil and/or structural engineering.
- Proficiency in engineering design software and tools such as RISA 3D, RISA Foundation, L‑Pile, ENERCALC, Hilti PROFIS, AutoCAD, Revit, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of applicable standards and codes such as AISC, ACI, ASCE‑7, and IBC.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
