Job Purpose
  • Lead in development of problem solving, continuous improvement and associate mentoring/development, in alignment with efficient production, new model introduction, business plan implementation and innovation to achieve or exceed targets that promote associate success.
Key Accountabilities
  • Recommend strategic investments in technology, tools, and processes to support future product lines and production capacity
  • Continuous development of self, colleagues and team through training and mentoring to proactively improve areas of management expertise for personal and team growth
  • Identify risks, remove barriers, and maintain alignment across engineering, operations, supply chain, and production teams
  • Evaluate and assess concerns identified by team to help or guide them to address or correct and resolve issues utilizing PDCA
  • Define and maintain a multiyear engineering roadmap aligned with business goals and manufacturing requirements
  • Manage projects for business plan and new model from concept through launch, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Manage required organizational resources (manpower, structure, budget) necessary to achieve operational expectations
  • Collaborate in the development of Business Plan Strategy and new technologies or model introductions to improve production characteristics and ensure voice of the floor is heard
  • Ensure engineering work complies with manufacturing standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills
  • Minimum educational qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology (e.g., mechanical, electrical, industrial and robotics) or other equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Minimum relevant work experience:
    • 8 to 12 or more years experience based on education
  • Other job‑specific skills:
    • Knowledge and experience with Honda business planning process.
    • Expertise within manufacturing department of assignment.
    • Background in model development, forecasting, or capacity planning.
    • Strong presentation skills for communicating forecasts, risks, and strategic recommendations.
    • Be a pro‑active problem‑solver who anticipates risks and removes barriers.
