Our client in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Electrical Designer. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on the design of building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, data, and special systems. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and interested in developing their skills within a collaborative engineering environment.

In this role you will be doing lighting system design using Revit. Projects will also include power systems (emergency and backup), and specialty systems. You will be doing designs for various commercial and industrial buildings. You will coordinate with architects and other POIs throughout projects development, as you prepare plans and construction documents.

This is a Permanent position that is required to be fully on site.

Responsibilities
  • Design electrical systems for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, data, and special systems.
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Develop and modify electrical designs using Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, owners, and contractors throughout project development.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with MEP projects, particularly electrical system design.
  • Experience designing electrical systems and producing construction documents for buildings.
  • Experience using Revitand AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-motivated with initiative, drive, and a strong work ethic.
Bonus
  • Familiarity with SKM Power Tools and Visual software is a plus.
  • Experience performing fault current analysis, arc flash studies, and breaker coordination is desired but not required.
