Summary:

Responsibilities:

Serve as a senior technical expert in supporting the research, development, and testing of electronic systems and components.
Work closely with engineers to conduct experiments, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to the design and improvement of electronic devices.
Develop and maintain test fixtures for embedded system verification.
Assemble rack hardware based on schematics, layouts, and instructions.
Fabricate and terminate wire harnesses.
Perform soldering and PCB rework.
Diagnose and resolve wiring and board-level issues.
Order necessary parts and materials.
Acquire hardware from the manufacturing line and notify relevant personnel.
Manage shipping and receiving activities.
Coordinate with IT to install laptops and equipment, and set up network infrastructure.
Communicate with the team regarding lab issues and maintenance schedules.
Execute development test plans and evaluate new products.
Develop scripting to automate test plans through Robot Framework, Python, Selenium, or similar tools.
Utilize Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems (preferably OPAL-RT) to perform verification of device performance.
Conduct manual verification testing and initiate automated test runs of device performance in a high-power test lab with hazardous voltage present.
Comply with company safety procedures to ensure a zero-incident workplace.
Triage failed test cases and document defects.

Requirements:

Associate degree or technical certificate in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a laboratory or technical environment, with a focus on electronics.
Proficiency in electronic test equipment and instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
Strong understanding of electronic principles, circuits, and components.
Experience with electronic design tools and software, such as schematic capture and PCB layout software.
Experience with test management software such as JIRA and Zephyr.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex electronic systems.
Knowledge of programming languages for embedded systems (e.g., C, Python).
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for electronic design and testing.
Certification in electronics or related field (e.g., IPC certification).
