Company ProfileOur client is a global specialty adhesives and bonding solutions company with a significant North American presence, serving leading automotive OEMs and Tier 1 manufacturers across the U.S. and Canada. They are recognized for their high‑performance, water‑based rubber bonding technology and maintain strong market positions with major automotive manufacturers. With a dedicated technical facility in North Carolina and a growing North American team, they are expanding their applications and technical sales function to support increased customer demand in the rubber bonding segment.
Job Description- Travel to automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 customer production facilities to provide hands‑on technical support, lead product implementations, and troubleshoot rubber bonding process issues on the line.
- Guide customers through conversion from solvent‑based to water‑based rubber bonding adhesive systems, including process parameter adjustments, line trials, and full production qualification.
- Build deep technical relationships with process engineers and manufacturing teams at customer facilities, serving as the primary on‑site technical authority for the product line.
- Collaborate with internal applications and commercial teams to document field results, analyze technical issues, and contribute intelligence to product development.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in rubber‑to‑substrate adhesive applications.
- Background in a process engineering, applications engineering, or technical service role at a specialty adhesives manufacturer or rubber components manufacturer.
- A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering field is strongly preferred.
This on‑site position requires the candidate to be based in the Raleigh‑Durham, NC area with the ability to travel up to 40% to customers as needed.
CompensationBase Salary: $120,000 - $140,000
Total Compensation: $130,000 - $155,000
