We are looking for a Project Engineer – Electronics to join the team. You will report to the PMO Engineering Manager and have an onsite work structure in Creedmoor, North Carolina.
- Review License Agreement/Sample Contract Flow downs to ensure full knowledge and adherence to all technical requirements.
- Provide informed technical input to support change requests, risk assessments, project design decisions, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) evaluations.
- Proactively identify technical risks early in the project lifecycle and develop practical mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and other departments.
- Understand key cost drivers and contribute to engineering estimates, including material, labor, and change impact assessments.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.
- Assist with resolving supplier’s technical inquiries and drawing/specification interpretation.
- Help troubleshoot assembly/test related problems, as required.
- Oversee production processes (including outside processing) with Quality, as required.
- Develop manufacturing planning for products, including BOM; improve/modify existing planning as needed.
- Develop/modify technical manuals, issue Service Letters and Service Bulletins, as needed.
- Modify design of current products to mitigate obsolescence issues, including modification of embedded firmware as needed.
- Design assembly/test tooling and shop aids, as needed.
- Four (4) year degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years experience in aerospace manufacturing, including electronic product design, planning, testing, and fabrication.
- Experience with Altium, LABVIEW, and MATLAB.
- Knowledge of aerospace product qualification requirements and familiarity with FAA/Military certification requirements.
- Experience setting up new production lines and/or relocating production lines.
- Effective communication and ability to write clear, concise technical reports.
- Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
