Position Summary
Engineering Technician I (S) – Division 10, NC07. This role supports technicians and engineers in construction inspection, surveying, materials sampling, testing, erosion control, and construction traffic control. The technician performs a wide variety of standardized and non‑standardized tests, compiles and analyzes field data, and maintains accurate records.
Responsibilities- Execute a wide range of standardized and non‑standardized tests and assignments.
- Compile, analyze, compute, edit, and process field data.
- Perform full range of calculations and computations required for inspection and surveying tasks.
- Maintain accurate and legible records and reports, including computer and iPad data entry.
- At least two years of related experience, or an associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of general concepts, practices, and theories used in construction, construction inspection, and/or construction surveying.
- Experience planning, developing, scheduling, tracking, and completing projects independently or with limited supervision.
- Experience working in a team environment to complete assignments.
- Proficient in the use of computer equipment, iPad and related software.
- Experience in customer service and interacting with the general public.
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle.
- Safety toe shoes required.
Salary Grade: NC07
Range: $35,984.00 – $49,477.50 – $62,971.00
