Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and documentation of mechanical systems and components. This role is ideal for a recent engineering graduate with CAD experience, particularly Solid Works, and a strong interest in product development, prototyping, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using Solid Works.
  • Produce manufacturing drawings including tolerances, GD&T, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Assist with mechanical design, prototyping, and product development projects.
  • Support prototype builds, design validation, and testing activities.
  • Work with senior engineers to troubleshoot design issues and improve product performance.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and procurement.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and revision control.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas for product improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 0–2 years of engineering experience (internships or co‑ops acceptable).
  • Proficiency in Solid Works for part modeling, assemblies, and drawings.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and tolerancing.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Desired Skills
  • Hands‑on approach to design, testing, and evaluation of mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with 3D printing technologies for prototyping or small‑batch parts.
  • Basic exposure to electrical components and control systems (not expected to be an expert).
  • Experience supporting prototype builds and iterative design improvements.
Additional /

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with metal additive manufacturing (metal 3D printing).
  • Experience with machining, fabrication, or other prototyping methods.
  • Exposure to PDM systems or engineering revision control.

Compensation: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
