Senior Mes Engineer
DPP is seeking a Senior MES Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with a Raleigh, NC company that provides advanced engineering solutions for global industries.
Position overview:
- Senior technical leader responsible for designing and delivering MES solutions in life sciences manufacturing
- Acts as MES Solution Architect and Technical Lead
- Works directly with customers and leads WM engineering teams
- Success is measured by delivery quality, project profitability, and repeat customer work
Key responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and deploy enterprise MES solutions
- Lead MES projects end-to-end: concept, design, build, test, validation, and commissioning
- Develop MES strategy that improves compliance, uptime, and efficiency
- Lead engineers and mentor junior staff
- Own technical decisions and guide customers
- Manage or support projects up to $1M, including:
- Plans, schedules, budgets, and status reporting
- Risk and issue resolution
- Team coordination
- Serve as Project Manager on smaller engagements when needed
Technical focus:
- Enterprise MES platforms (PAS-X, Syncade, Pharma Suite, POMS, Sepasoft, etc.)
- Electronic Batch Records (E )
- Life sciences regulations and validation
- Integration with:
- ERP
- SCADA / Historian
- LIMS, QMS, CMMS
- On-prem and cloud architectures
- Databases (SQL, Oracle)
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Sciences
- 7+ years of MES experience in life sciences
- Strong knowledge of:
- cGMP
- 21 CFR Part 11
- GAMP5, ISA-88, ISA-95
- Proven leadership and customer-facing experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willing to travel up to 25%
