Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
CMMS Administrator
This CMMS Administrator role supports maintenance and calibration operations at a growing pharmaceutical site. You manage work orders, maintain accurate and compliant system data, and partner closely with engineering and technician teams to keep operations organized and running smoothly in a dynamic, construction-heavy environment.
Responsibilities- Perform fast-paced and accurate data entry to support maintenance and calibration activities.
- Create, update, and manage calibration and maintenance work orders in coordination with technicians and engineering teams.
- Transfer and maintain information within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Ensure all maintenance and calibration records are entered, updated, and closed out in a timely manner.
- Collaborate daily with a cross-functional team of more than 10 members, including engineers, technicians, and other support staff.
- Support the organization and prioritization of work orders to help keep operations and projects on schedule.
- Read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to ensure accurate work order creation and equipment data entry.
- Apply Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles when handling maintenance and calibration data to support regulatory compliance.
- Assist with calibration tracking and documentation to support complex calibrations and greenfield facility builds.
- Communicate clearly with team members to resolve data discrepancies and improve CMMS workflows.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar CMMS administrator or maintenance coordination role.
- Hands-on experience with any Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), such as INFOR, RAM, or comparable platforms.
- Proficiency with Excel and Smartsheet for tracking, reporting, and data management.
- Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to remain accurate and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) concepts related to maintenance and calibration documentation.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team and communicate clearly with technicians and engineers.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry is preferred but not required.
- No specific formal educational requirements; a variety of backgrounds are welcome.
- OSHA 10 certification is required or must be obtained; the certification cost will be covered.
- Experience supporting calibration activities and understanding calibration workflows is a plus.
- Comfort working in a greenfield construction environment with a strong emphasis on safety and situational awareness.
- Demonstrated teamwork attitude and willingness to support colleagues across functions.
This is a fully onsite role at a greenfield pharmaceutical facility with a strong construction presence. You primarily work in an office or desk-based setting to manage CMMS data and work orders, but you may also perform field-related tasks as needed. Because the site is still under construction, steel-toed boots that cover above the ankle are required for any field work.
The environment places a high emphasis on safety, awareness, and adherence to OSHA and GMP standards. You will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team and gain exposure to complex calibrations, new facility builds, and site expansions, using CMMS tools, Excel, Smartsheet, and related systems in a fast-paced and evolving setting.
This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
