Senior Electrical Engineer
Our client, a leader in medical device innovation, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the R&D Product Development group supporting hardware and firmware design initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Raleigh, NC
Pay Range: $70/hr w2
What's the Job?
- Plan and execute electrical and firmware work packages in collaboration with internal and external design teams to meet project milestones
- Deliver electrical and embedded products on schedule, ensuring compliance with medical device quality standards
- Support current and new products to meet safety requirements such as IEC 60601 and other relevant standards
- Design, develop, and support products, sub-assemblies, and circuit boards with a focus on digital and analog circuits
- Develop firmware to support hardware functionality, including FPGA and microcontroller designs using Verilog, VHDL, and embedded C/C++
What's Needed?
- 7+ years of engineering experience in the medical device industry or highly regulated environments
- 5+ years of proven experience in mixed signal designs utilizing FPGAs
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with IEC 60601 electrical EMC and Safety testing
- Proficiency with design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, Cadence Allegro, or equivalent
