Electrical Engineer/Designer
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer/Designer to design, develop, and oversee electrical systems and components. This role is crucial to ensuring all systems function safely, efficiently, and comply with industry specifications and regulations. The Electrical Engineer/Designer will be responsible for creating and maintaining electrical designs for buildings, infrastructure, machines, and products, including generating layouts, schematics, specifications, and bill of materials for power distribution and control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical System Design:
Design power distribution, data, and low-voltage systems; develop single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and load calculations; select electrical equipment and components based on technical and cost considerations. - Project Management & Delivery:
Ensure timely delivery of electrical design milestones; maintain minimal budget deviations on electrical design hours. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with mechanical, architectural, and structural teams to ensure design alignment and avoid conflicts; improve coordination by developing standardized checklists. - Construction Documentation:
Create detailed electrical construction drawings using AutoCAD or similar software; prepare technical specifications and scopes of work for bidding and construction. - Site Visits and Inspections:
Conduct site assessments to verify installations; perform construction inspections to ensure compliance with design intent. - Code Compliance & Safety:
Stay up-to-date with electrical codes and safety regulations; ensure designs meet NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and local building codes. - Sustainability & Innovation:
Integrate energy-efficient design practices; research and propose new materials, technologies, or approaches that improve system performance and reduce costs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent technical diploma/degree in electrical design).

- Electrical Design Proficiency:
Expertise in power distribution, lighting, grounding, and control systems. - Code Compliance & Safety:
Deep understanding of electrical codes and regulations, ensuring safety, reliability, and code adherence (UL508). - Project Management:
Effective at managing design timelines, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring coordination with cross-functional teams. - Technical Documentation:
Ability to create clear, detailed, and accurate construction documents and specifications. - Collaborative Teamwork:
Work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, providing feedback and ensuring design coherence.
