Join Hitachi Energy Transformers as a Regional Electrical Safety Specialist and play a pivotal role in shaping a strong, proactive safety culture across North America. In this high-impact position, you will act as the subject matter expert for electrical safety, partnering with diverse teams to ensure best-in-class standards and practices are embedded across all transformer manufacturing sites.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How

you'll make an impact
  • Lead deployment of electrical safety strategy across the NAM Transformers organization
  • Support sites in executing standardized safety programs and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards and regulations (NFPA, OSHA/CSA, IEC)
  • Act as SME in audits, incident reviews, and risk assessments
  • Provide guidance on LOTO, arc flash, PPE, and energized work practices
  • Train and mentor HSE teams, leaders, and technical staff
  • Analyze safety data, identify trends, and prioritize improvements
  • Collaborate on capital projects to embed safety from design to commissioning
Your background
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical or industrial safety roles
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA/CSA, UL, and IEC standards
  • Proven ability to influence in a matrixed organization
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across North America
