About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Sustainability Program Coordinator to support our Energy Ops program and drive measurable energy reduction across our client's portfolio. The role requires strong organizational skills, technical rigor, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, facilities management, and technology partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and support implementation of low-cost and no-cost Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) across the portfolio.
  • Calculate and validate energy savings using established methodologies and standardized templates.
  • Support validation and documentation of savings with clear, transparent reporting aligned with client sustainability goals.
  • Develop and maintain accurate project workbooks, including scope, costs, savings calculations, and implementation timelines.
  • Achieve validated annual energy savings through data-driven initiatives.
  • Support evaluation and implementation of Building Management System (BMS) AI platforms for energy optimization.
  • Coordinate pilot programs and vendor demonstrations, maintaining clear communication between technology vendors, BMS teams, and client stakeholders.
  • Define and assess “AI-ready” criteria for facilities, identify appropriate test sites.
  • Track and report on AI tool performance, optimization opportunities, and energy reduction impact.
  • Maintain evaluation matrices and technology assessment documentation with accuracy and completeness.
  • Lead coordination and submission of utility incentive applications for energy projects.
  • Work with utility providers, engineering teams, and vendors to ensure accurate application data and timely submissions.
  • Track incentive program requirements, deadlines, and approvals.
  • Coordinate metering installation and verification requirements as needed for incentive compliance.
  • Manage tracking and reporting of refrigerant emissions, diesel consumption, and related environmental data.
  • Proactively identify and escalate refrigerant leaks or anomalies requiring immediate attention.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and EHS teams to implement JLL’s refrigerant management program standards.
  • Support digital transformation of emissions and resource tracking processes.
  • Maintain accurate, organized project documentation, meeting notes, and status reports.
  • Serve as data contact for vendors, providing timely access to utility data, trend data, and system drawings.
  • Prepare and deliver client-facing presentations and reports with professional quality and technical precision.
  • Support coordination of emergency response and demand response programs for critical facilities.
  • Track participation, performance, and compliance with program terms.
  • Work independently to drive assigned projects forward without reminders, proactively raising issues and communicating status.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering, facilities, technology, finance, and procurement teams.
  • Manage vendor relationships and hold vendors accountable for timely communication and deliverables.
  • Document and communicate energy project success stories with clear metrics and business impact.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Energy Management, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as LEED AP, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or similar credentials preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in energy management, building operations, or sustainable operations in commercial real estate.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating energy reduction programs with measurable, validated results.
  • Proven track record managing utility incentive programs from application through approval and payment.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), energy metering, and data analytics platforms.
  • Strong background in emissions tracking, environmental reporting, and compliance.
