Job Summary
LJB Engineering is a national, multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm with multiple business lines including Transportation, Water Resources, Geospatial, Site Design, Buildings Structure Design, and Safety/Fall Protection Design/Installation. Our diverse expertise, client base, and geographies have enabled LJB to serve clients in all 50 U.S. states and several countries.
PositionMid-Level Design Engineer (Raleigh, North Carolina). Salary range: $85,000 - $140,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

- Develop engineering designs for projects from preliminary concepts through final design.
- Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages.
- Coordinate with client technical staff and project managers throughout project delivery.
- Support both design-bid-build and design-build project execution.
- Mentor junior engineers in the development of final design and construction plans.
- Coordinate design activities and meetings among design staff, subcontractors, and client managers.
- Contribute to project decisions related to technical approaches, cost, and schedule performance.
- Participate in professional organizations and industry-related activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 4-9 years of relevant engineering design experience.
- Experience working with state or local DOTs.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Engineering design and plan development.
- Specifications and cost estimating.
- Client and stakeholder coordination.
- Project scheduling and technical decision-making.
- Mentorship and team collaboration.
- Design-bid-build and design-build project support.
