We are currently seeking an experienced Roadway Engineer to join our team in our Raleigh, NC office. Responsibilities:
The Roadway Engineer will work with a team of engineers on the planning and design of transportation projects in ND. This position will be responsible for the design of horizontal and vertical alignments, development of roadway plans and profiles, roadside evaluation elements, maintenance of traffic design, preparation of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates and the development of technical reports. Types of projects will include:
Intersection and interchange designs New roadway alignments Roadway widenings, roundabouts, interstates and pedestrian bicycle facilities Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program 5-10 years of experience in roadway engineering (candidates with significant relevant experience but fewer years will also be considered) Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina preferred Proficiency with design software including Micro Station, Open Roads Strong oral and written communication skills at all organizational levels Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multi-office teams Ability to lead and manage multiple projects, assignments, and teams Positive, cooperative attitude as both a team leader and team player Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Benefits: WRA recognizes that employees play an important role in its success.
